What text editor would /g/ recommend? Ideally I'm looking for one that can be used offline, with spell checker, typewriter sound effects and customizable colors. I've searched far and wide and I can't believe how hard it is to find something that meets these criteria. Notepad++ comes close, but not quite. I asked /lit/ and one guy said Q10, which is almost perfect but I don't like that it can't be windowed and it's also problematic for my dual monitor setup. So I come here in desperation, hoping you guys might know some good software for writers.

Don't listen to these memers, just use LaTeX like a real man if you want to publish something serious
