Guys, I heard Intel Celeron J1900 @ 1.99GHz is as good as a quad core, how true is this? How do they compare?
what are you even doing on this board if you need to ask such questions

I am very new to this integrated pc thing, I have been finding out as I go along. I just found out integrated Intel doesn't even have ram, it has its own, this is accurate right? And I am still wondering if Intel Celeron J1900 @ 1.99GHz is as good as a quad core... Also about the "graphics card" it says newest versions can run pretty much any game, again, how true do you guys think this is?
I know my pc is very new but I am pretty this one is better than the other one I had. But my monitor is bigger, so I CAN change monitors right? I have a Samsung one.

I'm sure there are ARM quadcores that perform worse. "As good as a quadcore" really doesn't mean shit.

What about the other stuff? This is one is pretty fast.

It's a very low power CPU designed for office work, certainly not games and rendering movies
I don't know what you had before, what impact your old cluttered operating system had, it might feel faster for you now but this CPU is slow compared to "normal" quad core i5 CPUs, etc.
> I just found out integrated Intel doesn't even have ram, it has its own, this is accurate right?
It probably takes some memory off your normal RAM, that's what integrated GPUs often do. And it will NOT run any modern games.
This computer is slow and old. I hope you didn't pay too much.
> so I CAN change monitors right? I have a Samsung one.
You can buy any monitor as long as the cables and plugs fit, there's not much else to think about. Your computer should have DVI, HDMI and maybe a Displayport connector. Do not buy a monitor that only supports VGA.

It's pretty much the cheapest and slowest non-mobile chip there is. I'm not familiar with the integrated GPUs on low-end intel chips, but I really doubt it can run any new games at all. Intel really isn't very good at making GPUs, and even their best tends to be pretty sub-par, only salvaged by having high amounts of cache.

At least you can tell how good my the other one was, no way was I thinking of running max settings games with this one, it's still better though, hehehe, thanks for the info guys, cleared up a lot of stuff I was wondering. Sigh, let's be positive, for one I can change monitors, thanks again.
