This is an electric shower head.

It has 0 (zero, nought, none, oeuf) chance of ever causing something to you.

It is wired to 110-140 DC. It is better than AC if you ever had a shock, but you won't. Some are also in 200-240 AC currents.
Even if you where shocked at 110/220 you wouldn't die. I have been shocked many times while I was a child by touching electric plugs while barefoot.

When you shower you use rubber flip-flops so you don't complete a current.

It can work at voltages from 2200 to 5500.
It has a ground cable.
It can work from 20A to 50A.

The resistance is made by the both ends of the cable, not the water, so water doesn't conduct electricity.

In the end a seemingly suicide machine is safer than 99% of gas-heated showers. You can isolate electricity, gas you don't.

First worlder's are butthurt about it because they can afford the bill. I'm gonna take a comfy shower now.

I didn't even know this shit existed, it seems almost insane to use it, despite being technically safe. Maybe with an isolation transformer at the very least.

Still, why the fuck would you want an electric water heater dedicated to your shower? Do you have one for every kitchen sink and every bathroom sink in your home? Why not have a central heating solution, that also does not risk killing you while you shower?

yes, if you mishandle energy sources bad things can happen.

Kind of like how people can die from electrical shock, or electrical fires can burn down houses/factories.

which is why gas has a smell injected.

There is no cure for stupidity, there never will be.

Why should I not use a considerably cheaper energy source because other people are stupid?
I've lived in houses with a gas supply my entire life, and never been so daft as to leave the stove or oven on in a mode where gas is being expelled without being combusted.

You have to be actually acutely moronic to do that too. You can only explode yourself if you're letting gas be expelled without combusting it at the gas head, which happens for exactly 1 second whilst you're lighting the oven/stove/boiler.

Literally millions of people achieve this without killing themselves.

I haven't worn a rubber "Flip-Flop" since I was fucking 7 and my parents bought them for a dollar at Wal-Mart. And I'm sure these still exist, but I'm 99% positive anybody with more than a minimum wage job in the US, who wants a pair of "flip-flops", buys something that isn't the same color and texture as a child's playtoy. The pair of sandals I bought for the beach this summer has some sort of nylon fabric top where my foot touches, cloth/nylon thong and top-strap, and the sole is rubber or something similar. But no way in hell would I trust them to be remotely non-conductive. Thin layer of rubber isn't going to save your ass from 2200 volts at 20 amps. And I still don't understand why you'd put yourself in such a situation to begin with, even. Tankless, electric, in-wall water heaters have been around since the 80's in the civilized worlds. You guys have CDs, at least, don't you? Can't borrow another invention from the 80's?

Oil doesn't just combust at electric stove temperatures, you'd need a gas stove for that so there's an open flame to ignite it. It'll just puff out an assload of smoke.

Also we have things like halon fire suppression systems these days if you're in an apartment, or a functioning fire department that can arrive on the scene in just a few minutes if you aren't.

Imagine you have a summer house, or you live in the forest. They usually use electric boilers there, that just held water inside.

Now the Chinese came along and since they don't give a flying fuck about safety, they made shower heads and faucets with integrated heaters inside.
It's literally a coil inside that heats water.

Yeah, everyone in this thread who thinks this is dangerous is retarded

see how it has absolutely no storage capacity? It's heating the water as it flows. Not only is it unlikely to ever get as hot, if the electricity is cut for some reason, you will not have any hot water. This is third world shit.
>>

Well, aside from poorly maintained pipes regularly failing. Although half of the street in front of your house randomly turning into a hot spring can be pretty amusing.

You are retarded , you think you are grounded when you are driping wet from watter ? The curent will pass from the point that finds less resistance , and especialy dc transfers from a higher dynamic to the lower. The desighn works but its not worth trusting it with your life.At least use a autotransformer and a relay. Or use them to solve overpopulation to those 3rd world countries ....

What?

That's no way to live.

Also plumbing works fine without power. Why would we need to make it all complicated, costly and hard to manage with power connections?
>>
>>56253630
The fuck? Canada mostly uses electric heating too. There's a lot of places on the planet outside your white suburb, retard.

That was an incredibly predictable response.

You're gonna feel sorry for depending on gas heating when fossil fuels become a rarity and all of North America is powered by hydro-electric centrals in Ontario and Quebec.
>>
>>56258371
You still can't have 220V*16A power config.
>>
>>56258439
>when fossil fuels become a rarity
Like 800-1000 years or so? Stop felling for "oil is running out" meme, it only increases the price and produces shitty ideas like solar roads.
>>
>>56258439
>use oil when it is cheap
>save trillions of dollars over time
>money gets invested elsewhere
>switch to electric when it becomes more affordable

I see no downside to this
>>
>>56258571
>>56256123
Northern European here, my sitting room and bedroom sockets are on a 16 ampere fuse, my cooker gets its own fuse which I think is good for ~20 amperes. To be fair though, 10 ampere should be more than enough for your wall sockets and lighting per room. That seemed to be the standard on the god forsaken island of Hibernia when I lived there.
>>
>>56258623
Yeah but that doesn't make your "Canada is dumb lol" response less shitty.

That's right. Your initial response was so shit that I'm still hung up on it.

>>56258720
Me neither but I'm sure people will be butthurt over buying power from other places. The New Brunswick government once wanted to start buying power from Quebec and their population got all butthurt and defensive about it because they're angry at french Canadians over the Quebec sovereignty movement. Retards.
>>

>>

Dude, you are not THAT poor if you know English and browse /g/.
>>
I dont know if anybody mentioned it before but i dont fucking read the whole garbage posted before.

If there is a Transformator between the heatingcoils and the electric house network and the trafo is not grounded there is no possibility to get an electric shock. You would have to open the cover cut the wire and touch both ends with separat hands to get killed.

Dont talk over stuff you dont have a clue. Its just embarasing.
>>
>>56259211
>Transformator

>Making up words
>>
>>56258739
You're not even replying to original person. In my "white suburb" most people store gas for heating their house. It's significantly cheaper and doesn't depend on anything, which makes it safe for winters. I doubt rural Canadians use electric heating.

in most europe we use 16 amp(some countrys use 15) for sockets and 10 A for lighting. Besides that you use special for other things and almost every appliance need to have his own circuit. Also for the bathroom you need a special Residual-current device sensitivity and every thing in the bathroom that is metal need to be plunged to earth(stupid law).
