So, what's the reasoning behind designing my microwave to beep obnoxiously every time you push a button or open the door? I know when I've pushed a button because the display changes. I know when I've opened the door. It doesn't even really need to beep when the timer is up because the microwave is loud as fuck and you can tell when it stops, but at least that's potentially useful if you're in another room or distracted or something.
Silent mode is literally the only thing to look for when buying a microwave
Microwave designers are fucking retarded. Pressing the buttons feels like shit.

I always open them up and cut the speaker wire.

>having a microwave with buttons
Just extra feedback that you pushed a button. If silent, some people might think they did not push it right.
Thread over.

>gosh I pressed the 1 button and a big 1 appeared on the enormous display, but it didn't make any noise, I guess I better press it a few more times
