I was having this problem with a motog with virgin mobile. It was happening on multiple sites. I figured that my mobile ISP's DNS was being hijacked.

Using firefox with no script and changing the DNS on the mobile data stopped this.

Linux, firefox, noscript, requestpolicy, cookie monster, ublock origin, and https everywhere

set browser caches to 0, disable clipboard events, set popups to zero, enable all clearonshutdown functions, disable webrtc, disable pocket and hello, do not send referrers, disable history, cookies, disable geo, disable fucking everything

then you make permanent whitelist exceptions on cookiemonster, requestpolicy, and noscript for the sites you use regularly

then you have a 2nd profile that only has ublock which you STRICTLY use for bank, email, online purchases

that is how you browse the internet, please leave now and don't come back until you have some more experience. try reddit r/privacy and work your way up to here

I browse from my PC 99% of the time and know how to keep it protected, I already do most of what you said on it. I didn't know about the malicious ads until I decided to take a quick look at 4chan on my phone during a poop, and kept getting these malicious popups. It doesn't make me feel comfortable using the rest of the site even on my PC if the owner is allowing this to happen.
