I don't know, nor do I really care how bad it is exactly. Main OS is Linux (with win7 on the same machine, didn't boot it for over a year though). Got one laptop with win10 and Linux on SSDs, Linux with fde. It's my edc laptop, win10 is for when I let other people use a computer of mine or I absolutely need windows (visual studio and some reverse engineering tools compatible to it mostly)

That's basically what everybody should do imho, if you want gaming get a console or dedicated pc with 7/10 dual boot.

I'd be surprised if Windows 7 stops being supported any time soon. XP is still supported by a lot of programs. If you're forced to using Windows 10 then just use it strictly for gaming and do everything else on any other OS. Windows 8.1 should be a better upgrade than 10.
