Hi /g/, so basically my iPod Classic finally crapped out, the hard drive will not work and simply put I don't have the funds to buy another one.
So I have my eyes on a Sansa Clip Plus, I have a few questions though: These Sansa Clips have an SD (or is it a MicroSD slot) slot where you can upgrade the storage. Can I use a, say, 80/100/200+ GB SD card with this? I've been told that I have to format the SD card to FAT32 in order for it to work on the Sansa Clip. Is that correct?
What are your experiences on upgrading storage on your Sansa Clip? I'm looking to upgrade the storage by as much as possible without potentially damaging the Sansa and/or making it crash all the time. Is there an EQ on it? And lastly and most importantly, does it sound good?
Replace the hard drive.

It's like seven years old, a bit outdated.
Among other things it just won't turn on so I'd like to upgrade to something just as efficient but cheaper.
A sansa clip + will cost as much as a new hard drive for your iPod.
Don't get the sansa clip sport. The database can only hold 2000 songs and there is no option for rockbox.
We are heading into dark times for mp3 players. Save what you can.
