TubeMate is a meta-search engine which has a great download manager for downloading videos, so give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

NewPipe's download is awful.

On your phone?

I use two Youtube clients. One of these is Newpipe, the other, sadly, is proprietary (PVStar). The reason for the proprietary client is that it automatically caches fucking everything, so I mainly use it for music I want to listen to later on without murdering my bandwidth.
