The test is still like you said unfair. The S7 is driving nearly 4 million mega pixels and the iPhone 6S+ only has to deal with 2 million mega pixels.

In the end the exynos variant of the S7 is only like 0.5 seconds slower across all apps despite having to deal with such a high res screen which is still impressive.

Anyway the only way to fairly compare the phones is if both were either 1080p or 1440p. Hopefully we will get a phone with an exynos 8890 and a 1080p screen to compare against the iPhone 6S+ soon.

What we can all learn from all this is qualcum can't make a SoC worth a shit. They should be banned from making processors.
