I'm thinking about getting a projector for anime night and street fighter night. I was thinking about getting one of those small low-resoultion portable ones or a cheaper normal sized one that can do at least 720p.
What should I actually look for?
(I'm splitting the signal off to a 240hz monitor for street figther and using the projector as a tetriary display for spectating.)

There are a lot of no name projectors out there in the $400 range but it's gamble.
The The BenQ TH670 is highly rated in the name brand entry level segment.
Are lamps still an issue with them or have LED bulbs finally fixed that issue?
I am interested in projectors, seeing all the DLPs having rainbow effect on dark areas kinda turns me off, but the price of DLP is cheaper than the 3LCD.
Man i wish projectors have bigger leaps and improvement each year.

It's hard since the two markets are business/education and high end home theatre. Both of those markets need a different projector. On the home theater end I can't imagine how small the market is. I bet the market doesn't sell 100k high end projectors a year.

There is nothing more irritating than a projector with poor resolution.
Don't skimp.
