I'm start my first year soon majoring in Computer science / what's the cheapest laptop i can buy for my university projects and stuff ( please don't recommend any chrome books / just windows os ) and what other items can u recommend, it will be real useful if (the items) where form a chinese website

Hey bud. Just buy an older thinkpad and install Ubuntu, you'll be happier than if you grabbed a standard windows laptop. It'll help you learn your CS as well.

Visual studio and powershell are both opensource now, why not install ubuntu on a sub-$200 chromebook? I took CS in college in I used a chromebook myself, granted I had a Windows desktop back in my dorm to use.
