What do you use for. Phone security etc? I have the screen lock, Samsung find my phone, I plan on doing the encryption. Anything else that I can do?
Get a phone that receives monthly security patches.

Lock screen password, full disk encryption along with encrypted microSD card
>>56202557
But I don't need a new phone, this one works just fine still.

BlackBerry's find my phone too, phone's locked to my account just like iCloud lock
>"Samsung find my phone"

email listed on lock screen
i need to encrypt my phone sd, and then figure out encrypting my sd
then I won't care too much if I lose my phone.
I only buy old model phones. I really like the S5 mini right now.

I'd rather use it over att's bloatware shit
>>56202839
>having at&t bloatware shit
>unironically using samshit bloatware
>using a samshit account
>not just using android device manager
>>56202923
Android device manager won't locate your device if you don't have location services on, but Samsung's will. I'm not gonna keep it on to kill my battery even more than this shit 5.1.1 is doing. Fucking att and slow ass updates.
I don't use a PIN to unlock it.

What glorious device are you using? Please don't tell me iCrap.
>>56203492
Just root your phone and install a custom rom to remove the bloatware you fucking retard
>>56202085
Encryption + Adoptable storage, Xposed to avoid turning off the phone and dragging/using the top bar while locked and MacroDroid for activating gps, taking photos and sending them to my email address with info location after 2 failed unlock attempts or by receiving a SMS with a password.

If you encrypt your sd card and you download new stuff, does it get automatically encrypted too? Also what if you wanna back up your files in the sd card to your pc, do you need to decrypt it? Or what if i have movies on my Sd card that's encrypted and wanna back them up via usb otg to a flash drive. do i also need to decrypt it?
>>56203700
Everything's encrypted as it's added to the microSD card.
>back up files
I can transfer them over network or decrypt the whole microSD and pop it in the computer. I've never used USB OTG on BB10OS but I'd imagine that'd work too. You don't need to decrypt files before transferring them.
>>56203590
Well I was planning on it, but I updated to 5.1.1, there's no workaround to root for att yet.
>>56203492
nexus 6p
>>56204030
>no root
>5.1.1
>just updated to it
j fucking ej
>>56204049
5.0 and 5.0.1 didn't have exploits either. So I'd been fucked for a while. You done being a retard?
>>56204072
>intentionally and unironically uses a phone with at&t and samshit bloat thats still on 5.1.1
