whaddya think /g/
are CHIPS tastier than RaspberryPi ?
they say they are only 9$ ...
I have one of these but I don't have a RPi. Any benchmarks I should run?
Raspberry Pi Zero is cheaper and is 60% higher clocked than the original raspberry pi

I have three, they're pretty great for what I'm using them for, but other people probably need the VGA or HDMI adapter to use it. I'm using two small composite screens wired to the same video output to get a sorta makeshift VR headset, so I don't really need the video adapters.
Pretty awesome. Attach one to a power bank and you've got yourself a nice little portable automated Wi-Fi hacker (MiTM, honeypot etc)

Not sure if it would be an effective one.
Overall it's much better than a pi 0

Tried to order one, shipping was over 20 dollars. Fucking bullshit.
Got an orange pi pc instead, much better value.
It's a fine low power headless linux box, but that doesn't appeal to the console emulation fags who constantly shit up support forums for these kinds of computers, so they also sell those dumb video adapters and pocketchip. Other boards are better for emulation and desktop, but the chip works great as the brain of a project or running some service in your closet.
I've considered getting one of these, but I don't actually have a reason or a need for one
what can you even do with them?

also the CHIP has onboard battery charging circuitry
How available are they? the Zero is "kinda" available but still has one-per-customer limitations in some places

I preordered mine and got it July. I think if you preorder again now you'll get it sometime October.
I ordered 2 ages ago, $18 total. Got them recently. I have no idea what to do with them.

They currently don't have any kind of hardware accelerated video so yeah, same... Until they incorporate a proper driver, it's collecting dust...
Once I have real video capabilities I'll run Retroarch and shove every game imaginable onto it, however many 4GBs will store.
Anyone have a discount code? I'm gonna order one but shipping to Canada makes this $20 CAD

Ended up getting it anyways. Can't beat the price for capable open hardware that isn't $100 CAD like the beaglebone black
