Gents,
Any recommendations for cloud based photo storage?
I have quite a few gig of family photos and video currently backed up on a home file server, I'd like to chuck them in a second backup location too.
Paying a subscription is no issue.

so is cloud storage
Buy two extra home servers.
Go to a friend, offer him/her to put your home server at their house, and they can get one for free at your house.
Then you have two boxes with a backup, so in case of a house fire or technical failure, your data is safe.
I would then set it up, so the one at your friends house is accessible from the internet.
On your own network, separate it, so if people should get access to your friends server, they won't have access to the rest of the network.
If it is just a few GB, the server thing is not very expensive and usually why it is offered for <$5/month on "the cloud".
But if you can't trust the server to be at a friends house, then why would you trust it at a strangers place?
