The problem isn't that the files are on your computer, the problem is that websites are going to start using HTML5's DRM features more and more because it is now widely supported. Sure you can delete the files, but that won't help you when every video upload website locks their videos behind the DRM, or if the claims about being able to put entire web pages behind the DRM is true (which will completely end user control of what websites can do on their computer). You get the choice of either running their proprietary DRM garbage or not being able to browse the web.
