Hey /g/ i have decided that ill spend a few big bucks on a laptop, i will be using it strictly for college of course. This is where you come in, I want to know whats a good cheap computer under $500 that i can use to do my school work and shit on. Any suggestions ? I preferably want one that will not only cost less but also last me a while. If you think i should raise my budget for a better more reliable laptop let me know what will work best.

I've got something with near identical specs, the asus t100ta.

Works great for note taking and web browsing.
Battery life is insane good too.

Only major flaw is shit Linux support, but it runs windows just fine
