Gaming laptops are kind of stupid. You get one hour of decent gaming before you have to plug it in to charge. Why not just use a PC? then you can have liquid cooling, better specs, over clocking, a better screen and more. If you want to be mobile just make a mini ITX computer.

But I'd still get a mini ITX over a laptop.

I used to game on my laptop only for like 2 years. It fucking sucks. Had to dual screen it. Mouse would carry over to be 2nd screen even in windowed or full screen. Heats up a shit load. Constantly charging killing battery life. It's just overall bad. If your casual it's fine, but for me hours on end, needa real PC desktop.

Depends which laptop. Alienwares get amazing battery life, the 15" model has an overclockable Quad Core CPU and 4K display yet it still lasts 11 hours on a single charge when you're just using it for web browsing and watching youtube. Weighs less and is thinner than a Thinkpad T61 that /g/ praises so much.

A lot of Gaming laptops these days have very decent cooling. 250W TDP can be dealt with easily in a 17 inch laptop. You can forget about the GTX 1060 running full speed on that Razer laptop though.
