I am planning on making a podcast/Internet radio show. I am dedicated to this and I'm not looking to make a podcast about everyday bullshit, what I ate for lunch, and try to sell t-shirts. I hope you share whatever knowledge you have with me and know it will go to good use.
I would like to stay anonymous while doing so.
What sorts of things do I need to do to get this up and running? Obviously I need a microphone, pop filter, a computer, a recording program like Audacity... what else? I guess I'd need a website, and social media to promote it.
What do you like about podcasts? What makes you satisfied as a consumer of podcast content?
the only podcast i listen to is the Ted Radio Hour and rarely Stuff You Missed in History Class
Don't spend too much on a Mike, expensive isn't always better
What exactly are you planning to talk about OP? Are you a subject matter expert in some way? Interesting stories to tell?
You aren't going to get an audience if you don't have something to talk about.

Very true. I'm planning on talking about the politics of my country and the world, in two shows a week.
So one show would be more interesting to people from my country and the other would be more accessible to everyone.

Try to make the show comfy. Musical intro and outro.
