AMD released the latest version of their AMD Media SDK, now simply called AMF SDK.

This dude who just recently made a working OBS properly utilizing VCE is already at work using the SDK. He's putting a lot of time in.

Things should be getting pretty good on the video side of things for AMD soon brehs

What are the implications here? What is he going to do?

He's allowing Open Broadcaster to better make use of AMD cards basically. Better performance/less resources used for streaming/recording things on desktop.

Congrats, you'll finally be able to do GPU encoding off OBS like I was doing 2 years ago with my nvidia card.

>The SDK seems to be missing HEVC/h265 and TwoPass encoding
HAHAHAHHAAHAHAHAH

And it cost AMD nothing, thanks to open source.
Just another check box of features that AMD is gaining ground with.
Meanwhile those patches for vulkan from Nvidia are due any day now. Any day.

Cost? It's not like nvidia paid money to have OBS support it, thanks to not making shit cards, people integrate their features because everyone uses their cards, unlike AMD.

Cool half baked feature, bro!

Congrats, nobody was talking about Nvidia
>>56120403
dude just fuck off. I'm sure theres some other gpu thread you can go shit up

OBS Studio had VCE but it broke. So AMD had it for awhile and now it needed another to get it going.
