These HP laptops are a bitch to open. I recently disassembled 2 of them. First you remove all the screws and bottom panel, then you need to stick a screwdriver down into the holes with a keyboard marking on them and pop the keyboard out (it takes a lot of force, don't worry about breaking it). There are two screws under the keyboard, remove those and the whole laptop comes apart.

I had a laptop like that a while back, HP2000 IIRC.

I fucking hated the keyboard, Hated pretty much everything about it, Got pissed off at it one day and just started pounding the keyboard with my fist then threw it in the trash.

Hp laptops are shit

Take it apart with a plastic pry tool or a thin flathead screwdriver when all the screws are apart. Look up a video if in doubt.
