Firefox is now unbearably slow and I can no longer use it. For example, loading the /g/ catalog takes fucking 15 seconds.

How can I de-botnet Chrome?
>>
>>56095356
Use Chromium

If you plan on using it with high dpi screen, I'd recommend using Opera instead. Dunno if the botnet content is any less but at least it has no problems scaling and doesn't look shit.
>>
Install Chrome.
>>
>>56095405
This needs to be posted in any Firefox thread
>>
>>56095386
It could be your connection because /g/ loads pretty quick on a fresh install of Firefox 64-bit with Disconnect addon which helps to debloat websites and increase loading time.
>>
ACTUALLY chrome is the one browser that doesn't sell your data. Firefox sells everything you type into the search bar like a whore.
>>
>>56095436
Go to bed, Pichai
>>
I'd use a patched chromium if the chromium team:
1. Hadn't botched the extension API so that uMatrix can't see our block background network requests made by other extensions;
2. Hadn't utterly destroyed native don't rendering.
>>
>>56095425
Can't be that because compared to firefox, Chrome loads the catalog instantly whereas Firefox completely freezes for a few seconds and then finally loads. Same thing happens whenever entering a thread with a lot of replies.
>>
>>56095436
>Firefox sells everything you type into the search bar like a whore.
I hope Mozilla enjoys its server full of porn searches
>>
>>56095356
thats not chrome its OS related problems

Works on my machineā„¢

>How can I de-botnet Chrome?
You can't
>>
>>56095490
>Works on my machineā„¢
Good for you, it unfortunately doesn't work on mine :/

>You can't
Oh well.
>>
>>56095413
How is the sync?
>>
>>56095356
I have that same problem, not only with Firefox, but all of its main forks too. So I just switched to Opera and now I'm a happy camper.
>>
>>56095472
It sounds like your corrupted it somehow. Start in safe mode and see if it loads quickly without addons or application extensions.
>>
>>56095498
Sorry, I don't use it so no idea.

here you go tinfoils
>>
>>56095421
this; your browser v. browser threads are as cancerous as the video card ones. There are 2 outcomes
A) you surf the interbutts the way it's meant (tm) and skynet collects your data
B) you surf privately but everything's fucked up
Any solution is on a gradient from A to B, now suck it up and choose either/or fagits
>>
>>56095550
DAE think Goggle Chrum is literally skynet xD
>>
>>56095386
Use Arch, get chromium-pepper-flash and chromium-widevine from the AUR
>>
>>56095513
Oh well if Wikipedia says so then I guess it must be true
>>
>>56095356
Use opera
>>
>>56095356
Had the same problem anon. Was long time Firefox user before but it just became incredibly slow and I don't know why. Switched to Chrome and all is good. Seems like the glorious times of Firefox are finally over...
>>
Uninstall, reinstall, remove old profile, start up Firefox. There you go, Jamal.
>>
>>56095571
Oh wow thanks for the suggestion, checking out the AUR right now.
>>
>>56095586
>Oh well if Wikipedia says so then I guess it must be true
Hi anon, it appears that you haven't used wikipedia before.

There are 8 sources referenced in that screenshot. I encourage you to check them out.
>>
>>56095637
>Uninstall
Oh rest assured I uninstalled.
>>
>>56095569
> implying
i was referring to tracking scripts that a shitload of websites have (virtually any site with an ad phones back to google or amazon or both) and browsers routinely collect usage statistics, hence exaggerated as skynet because the web is so big
I use chrome, I block ads and some tracking, I can't be arsed enough to care about usage statistics. Enjoy your "but it's le bleppit mey mey" mentality

>How can I de-botnet Chrome?
Either compile chromium with inox.
https://github.com/gcarq/inox-patchset

Or just install Iridium (extra has non-free codecs that you need).
https://iridiumbrowser.de/

>>56095436

Fuck off, shill.

Everybody bitching about "Botnets" (BTW you use that term incorrectly a bot net is a tons of zombie PC's used to launch DDOS attacks) when the PC hardware itself has NSA backdoors fucking idiots.
>>
>>56095413
>Chrome: NSA/USA botnet.
>Opera:PRC botnet.

Choose your destiny.
>>
>>56097388
tell them anon, tell them!
>>
>>56097388
So what?
>>
>>56095356
Literally went from Chrome to Firefox a few days ago because Chrome was unbearable slow.

Don't fall for the meme.

Agreed, opera is just improved chrome.
>>
>>56098895
And it actually respects your DPI settings when you use 125%
>>
>>56097734
So quit using the term wrong dipfucks.

are you not aware that it's part of the chinese botnet now? the fuck.

i use firefox just fine m8, loads the catalog in less than a second so this sounds like a problem with you not the browser.

but thanks for contributing to the board and making our daily chrome shill thread.

 pacman -S chromium

It isn't as it doesn't launch DDOS attacks.
>>
>>56095356
