So right now I have a computer with Windows 8.1 and want to set up a dual boot with some Linux Distro, most likely either Mint or Fedora as my first go.
Now I want to set my computer up so that multiple users can use the computer at the same time. With Windows 8.1 from what I read is kind of a pain but it's apparently easy from what I've been told for a Linux user.
So my question is this:
If I am using Windows, is it possible to have someone on another monitor/keyboard/mouse go ahead and 'access' the same computer and hop onto Linux and do whatever they wanted while I'm doing my own thing? Or would it get hairy?
Specs is what I'm currently running with, should be able to handle 2 users simultaneously

Use unRAID

Seems interesting

VMs work better for what you want

Can't do that with dual boot.
Learn about virtual machines. Your computer seems powerful enough that it could handle it. I am sure there are ways to virtually plug in a second keyboard and mouse for the second person to use inside the VM.

Well I have a VM set up with VMWare but still seems limited, going to have to do more research into it.
From what I read it's not possible for me to just have multiple active users on a non-server OS
