check if you have 8 pin cpu power connector plugged in, same for 24 pin mobo connector. check everything for your gpu as well. also try shorting the pins on the pw switch on the mobo and see if that does anything different.

1) Unplug everything that's not power. Memory too. Also the video card. The only thing on the board should be the power connections.

1.5) Ensure that you've connected all the power connections. There's the main one, and there's also likely a 4 pin connector that's easy to miss.

2) Power on. You should get a beep code. You don't? Faulty board, return it.

3) Plug the memory in. You should get a single beep.

4) Plug the video card in. If it goes back to doing nothing here, ensure that you've connected the power to the card. Still nothing? Faulty video card. Replace.

check the power into mobo plug. sometimes can be hard to seat.

Disconnect all unnecessary components:
>uninstall GPU (You will be using integrated graphics for now)
>disconnect drives from mobo
>connect only keyboard (no mouse, LAN, thumb drives, etc)
>leave only one RAM module installed (check motherboard manual for single-module RAM configuration, it will probably reccommend leaving it in channel1, slot1)

Check these items:
>check 8-pin CPU power connector is connected to mobo
>check 24-pin mobo power connector is connected to mobo
>check that the single RAM module is seated properly
>check that you have installed the correct motherboard standoffs into your case
>Check that the CPU cooler bracket/bolts are not contacting your mobo directly. There should be some sort of plastic washers/coating between the brackets/bolts and your mobo to prevent damage or short circuits.
