What grafix card(s) should I buy for Adobe products / 3dcg / rendering?

Quadro

Depends on what you mean by 3DCG, if CAD/CAM or simulation, then Quadro, if 3ds Max or Maya then Titan or 1080.
Quadros are only for zero-tolerance work, which most graphic work isn't, it's not like your render will crash over just because the GPU doesn't have ECC.
For CUDA rendering only core count matters, get whatever has the most, also two cards equal a nearly straight 2x speed up so having more cheaper cards is much more beneficial than it would be for games. Just make sure to have as much RAM as possible.

How viable is this as a build? Seems hot
>>
>>56041279
If by "hot" you mean literal housefire.

Better get X99 instead and put it in a normal case, those two extra cores will come in handy so that you can render and still do other things. Also get a CUDA card, rendering and 3D in general doesn't use FP64.

3DCG as in 3D Custom Girl.

You can do basic 3D modeling on a shitty laptop if you wanted to. You don't need to care about hardware validation unless you're going to be pushing it the limit with VFX.
>>
Okay so how about on a $600 budget?

two cards?

I have pretty much exactly that build, it runs fine. GPU temps max out at 90C after an hour and a half of stress testing, and nothing else gets even close. Just make sure you have either a modular power supply or you keep the extra wire in the top HDD bay, like your picture does.

Here's mine + the ambient temp being 29C .

> 90c

My radeon 6870 that I use begins to shut down at 70c. Not sure if I want an expensive quaddro or firepro dying.

What professional rendering/editing software exclusively uses CUDA????

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
