What OS are they using /g/?

I got it from here:
https://www.flickr.com/photos/ganatlguard/14399103762/

It's the Georgia National Guard preparing for cyberwar.

Looks like they googled something like "ssh permission denied publickey"

Looks like Xubuntu in VirtualBox. The GTK theme looks like it, looks like XFCE panel up top there. I think VirtualBox because the line in the middle at the top looks like that virtualbox thing that popups up on mouseover on fullscreen vm. Not sure why WM theme looks like clearlooks though thats not Xubuntu style.

Lol I know the guy in the top left. Chance is that they are using one of two different OS. Either Windows or some Linux distribution called rucksack which is maintained by some reserved army guys
>>
>>56020646

What does "cyberwar" mean to a National Guardsman? Certainly not in the sense that China, Russia, and the USA are constantly hacking each other?
>>
>>56020487
Well to be fair they are preparing for " network defence" since that's what their unit does. Not network offence
>>
>>56020669

Why are soldiers doing this instead of IT professionals? Or are they IT guys wearing camo?
>>
spi.dod.mil/lipose.htm

Could be Lightweight Portable Linux, a DoD project. It's basically debian setup to look like windows. Never really tried it out to be honest.
>>
>>56020669
Also note that to the national guard, their main mission is to defend. Very few units have the authorisation to conduct any type of offensive " hacking" missions. However many people within the national guards CND-T are some sort of security specialists in private sector
>>
>>56020707
Honestly each state only has a small handful of "
Cyber " people. Let's say each state has 5k guardsman. Maybe 500 are signal support, 100 of which are 25B mos which are your IT people. The "cyber" team is made up of 8-15 people at the best of times. However each state has more or less

It's probably Xubuntu.

We can clearly see that they're using XFCE.

If you look at the icons in the system tray at the top left, they look like the Ambience icons from Ubuntu.

Additionally, it looks like they're using some Dell laptop. If I recall correctly, Dell is one OEM that ships Ubuntu from the factory on their machines. I believe the XPS line. The term "Project Sputnik" comes to mind. That laptop looks like it might be one of those XPS laptops.

The favicon on the first tab might even be the Xubuntu logo. I'm unsure about that though.

The complexity is necessary for humors. The thought of laughter comes from the idea of successfully understand the joke

Actually, humor is anything that is considered "outlandish" and "abnormal", not like one would expect you to know what it is. Seek help for your autism friend
>>
>>56025461
>humor is anything that is considered "outlandish" and "abnormal"
Outliers and abnormal things are not humor, understanding the joke is. You can stop trying and take your age insecurity somewhere else

National guard are pretend soldiers, what a bunch of fags.

Nah, you are just accepting a "defeat" realising that you can't "win" this argument
