What happened /g/?
The internet used to be cutting edge technology. We were able to communicate with anyone at any point in the globe to discuss ANYTHING.
We could send messages in milliseconds. Nowadays it takes several seconds before you even load the html that loads the javascript that loads the css that loads the images that power the most popular communication platform
We were anonymous. We could talk about the most fringe things knowing we'd never be disrespected for it. Nowadays we can't get online without the NSA pulling our ISP wires and facebooks invisible pixels tracking us everywhere
What the hell happened /g/? Am I just growing old? Will it go away?
People who made these things found out that they could track things that these people were sending across the world, and sell the information to advertising companies for big corporations. Then tech became as big as the big corporations and started their own advertising companies. The more things they can find out how to track, the more money they make. Look at the ever growing revenue of Facebook with it's ad engine. The things it tracks is impeccable. Go on Facebook and create an ad. There's almost nothing that you can't filter out. Most visted websites. What credit card they own. Their average spending when shopping online, etc.
Retards will always say it's "muh capitalism" but it's actually consumerism. People are inevitably in control of what is wanted and needed in the world, and the businesses comply. yet they choose to settle for this.

I like how Facebook says they'll be blocking ad blockers but not telling anyone how they're doing it:

Yeah basically, even then though only fairly bored upper middle class white teenagers and college kids use the service and it wasn't even a thousandth as bad as it is today.

way too many services that enable undesirables by pandering to them heavily for ad revenue.

My bet is they'll just use SSAI

It'll be only a matter of days before they're blocked again though. Even if they serve it from the exact same CDN as other pictures, the ads have well-known sizes

Facebook has hover 1.5 BILLION users.
Those undesirables are just the majority of the developed world population
It is time to create a new internet. An internet that run only on 450mhz machine.
Internet used to be a niche technology used mostly by university educated people. Now it's available to the masses, so it's become just as shitty as the real world. Just like how all bands start to suck once they become big and sell out.

What about a 650MHz machine?
>>56001725
ONLY 450 MHZ
>>56001789
450 mhz ought to be enough for everyone

Try browse with all scripts blocked by default unless you need them. Also, browsers like links2 in graphic mode and Dillo that don't support javascript run extremely fast.

You forgot ISPs doing DPI and selling that information to advertisers along with browser fingerprinting which can effectively identify your browser if you have javascript enabled.
