Is Java a meme or does anyone actually us it for developing software?

Java is a respectable language. Anything newer than Java is a meme.

Oracle is a meme but Java is ok.

I tried javafx and it's really nice t.b.h.
But i'm doing it just for fun

Not sure what your on about with the design and abstraction, it's just a language
Though if I could go back in time and learn something different, it'd probably be a trade like tile laying or hvac maintenance desu fambam

if you dont develop an AAA video game, or incredibly heavy server-side software, then Java is cool.
