I just installed Fedora, and I'm trying to setup the right drivers to get my wireless adapter working.
While im trying, get pic related. Whats the problem here?
inb4 /sqt/ or /fglt/, I already tried asking the both of them, no answer.

The next step in the solution guide I'm using gives me this if I skip that step and move on. I tried Googleing the "mt7662u_sta.ko" file but I couldn't come up with anything.

Shit, forgot pic
Why are you building from source? If you have internet access (posting here?) Via ethernet or another machine try installing using dnf or grabbing the needed .rpm's. If you don't know what the hell I just said then what is your experience level with fedora and linux in general?

Not very extensive. I've had Linux for about 3 months now, but I've been using mint, I just switched over to Fedora two days ago with the help of a friend how loves Fedora. I had the same driver problem with every other Linux build, but once again I had another friend help me with that, one I no longer have access to. I would really appreciate any kind of help, mobile posting sucks ass.

Step one: don't get discouraged, even if you don't end up fixing it
Step two: do you have any Internet access on the fedora machine such as a wired connection

I suppose I'm past the point of becoming discouraged, I'm in a little too deep now.
I do, it would take me a little bit but I could set up a wired connection if that's nessicary.

Bump

Checked. Linux always sucks when it comes to disabling wifi. Idk why

Bateman has blessed this thread
It does suck, but you wouldn't happen to know how to fix it? I can't really do anything without any Internet, and I don't know how to fix this problem.

If sqt ignores you then you are supposed to get out of /g/. And don't put sqt in the title, you people just end up clogging the catalog

if you have an Android phone, you can use it to share its Wifi connection over USB. If you need help building a kernel module, Fedora IRC is probably your best bet.

Not being able to access my Internet is a pretty big problem, I can't exactly just leave it.

When you say sharing Wifi connection, can I actually tether my Wifi connection, or my 4g? I know I can use my 4g, but I've drained all of it now looking for a solution. Is there a way to use Wifi for that, or am I royally fucked now?
