Why do some people still prefer XP over Win7?
Explain it to me, since I barely used XP when it was relevant, went basically straight from 95 to Vista.

Some people just refuse to give something up or they still depend on software that only works on XP.

Could you give me some examples of sotfware that doesn't work on 7 from XP? I find that the compatibility between the 2 is pretty good.

Win10 completely overhauls the interface, breaks compatibilty with a shit ton of software, performns like shit overall, is buggy as fuck, the updates break your system almost 100% of the time and there's more malware by default in it than in cnet.

Not work related, but some of my games I own work much better on XP than they do on 7 or don't work at all on 7. You just can't expect software that was made for windows 98/2000/XP to work with a modern OS like windows 7.

OH, well, yeah, that I can't disagree on, Win95 software in particular does not like Win7 or 10 at all. But I don't know if XP has an easier time running it.
Can you by any chance play SW:Pod Racer in XP?

A terrifying thing is that a lot of point of sale (cash register) software still runs on XP.
