I really just NEED it for art and photo editing
Just some games would be nice
OP, where do you live? Here in the US you can get a much more powerful used laptop, usually with a better screen, for that kind of money. Laptops that were mid to high end a couple of years ago sell for a third or less as much today.
I've been in your position before. I needed a laptop and was dead broke, so I decided to buy the best thing $500 would get me at my local Fry's, much like the one you linked to. Bad move. The thing was a shitheap. Returned it and instead used $350 of that cash to buy a four year old workstation laptop. Despite its age, it absolutely destroyed that pitiful excuse of a laptop I had bought new in every single way and three years later it's still serving me well (though my economic situation has since improved).
Buying new just isn't worth it unless you can drop $800+ or there's some kind of crazy discount going on.

I have been fucked over buying used before but I'll consider it
>>55971219
Lol no. http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/hp-pavilion-15-ab269sa-15-6-laptop-white-10137876-pdt.html?intcmpid=display~RR op get this one

You're seriously recommending a 1366x768 TN panel? He's doing art and photo editing. That shit is borderline unusable for those purposes. One of the reasons I returned my $500 laptop mentioned in >>55971219 is that many details in my Photoshop documents weren't even visible on its screen, the colors were terrible, and with all the palettes open there wasn't any screen left for actually editing the damn document
1600x900 is the bare minimum for 15.6" screens but he really needs 1920x1080.

http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/laptops/laptops/asus-x555la-15-6-laptop-black-10135223-pdt.html?intcmpid=display~RR or he can try this.

Or this if he goes over budget. His budget is 400 pound. Its not much. http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemnumber=N82E16834315164

Absolute garbage.
Could this laptop run Rome 2?
>>55971833
It's a fucking dual-core with no hyperthreading and it's only got an intel 520 in it.
That computer is barely worth 300 dollars for that reason alone.
