I just put a minimal install of debian of my laptop. I don't have a ethernet connection, but I need to get the wifi driver installed somehow. Any help?

Don't be a faggot and download the firmware package and driver packege manually.
Or setup a WRT54GL as client and use ethernet
sudo apt install wifi
See if it actually works.
