ok so i just installed arch with xcfe4.
i got everything working except the wifi.
someone help please.
im using network manager. in the applet it shows access points but when i click one either nothing happens or i get "active connection removed before it was initialized"
my hardware switch is working properly.
i think i have the wrong driver loaded but when i try to modprobe the b43 driver nothing happens. i also noticed that the status on the wifi card is set to down but when i try to bring it up nothing happens.
any help would be greatly appreciated

Install gentoo

pacman -S gnome-keyring if you haven't already.
Broadcom is kind of shitty when it comes to Linux drivers.
