hey g/, i m intrigued by trying a linux distro (possibly manjaro) the thing is, i actually NEED a windows 10 partition on my pc, for adobe software and other stuff i can only use on windows and i just updated to the w10 anniversary edition. Is there any way to stop the massive tracking spying shit that's on it? It makes my balls go dry
Every update and version of Windows 10 comes with built-in enterprise-grade Microsoft Botnet Technologyâ„¢
You can disable certain elements (telemetry and shit like that) but MS will find ways to fucking inject spying into their OS.
I think you can use Destroy Windows 10 Spying but idk if it works on the latest update.
Install Linux then install Windows 10 in a virtual machine without networking.

Install 7 in a virtual machine. If you need the gpu for Adobe, do a passthrough.

Nope.

No. Run windows in a VM
Wine works well for adobe stuff

You can block it at the hardware level with your own router or firewall. You just have to have the master list of Microsoft servers. And hope they don't add a new one. And your pc is going to be constantly sending out packets trying to connect to the MS servers, because now it's panicking that it cannot phone home. So you will always have that in the background.
On a lighter note, Manjaro is pretty comfy. You can choose non-free drivers for things like your GPU automatically when it installs. Just werks. Basically Arch for idiots.
