Whoa, RMS just got told by a dictionary
Which dictionary? Is it free as in freedom?
>>55950176
dictionary definitions evolve with common usage.
>using dictionaries written by abusive megacorporations to defend the misuse of words by abusive megacorporations
Well done. In other news you're a faggot.
Source: This post right here which says you're a faggot.

Considering RMS uses an ancient definition of the word while modern one means exactly the thing that's in dictionary, I'd say RMS got told by both dictionary and common usage.

RMS didn't invent the term, there were hackers like DEK (Donald E Knuth) long before he even attended Harvard let alone MIT labs.
I remember reading Phrack in the 90s where they tried to get the media to use the term 'cracker' for a blackhat and it never stuck, but essentially that's what you're doing cracking security/copyright encryption/ect.
>>55950759
Why are you writing that in response to me? Is that a misquote?
>>55950176
>cause damage
that totally wrong, that's called a "cracker"
>>55950176
>secretly
I used to keep a blog about all the shit I do with iOS and Android. I wonder if anyone from Apple saw it.
