Check each part individually. I'd start with the power supply.

OP here. Just figured it out. I plugged a random 8pin into my CPU power instead of the one marked "CPU" by the PSU.

>do all of that

Fuck my life.

Turned out it was not seated properly, even though it looked like it was. Motherboard only had retention clips on one side of the module so you couldn't tell from them securing the module in place whether it was there or not.

Its not that bad honestly. It's rare that it would be more than 1 part that's faulty.

Guess it was a bad idea to split 2 case fans on 1 system fan on the board...then did another 2 so i had 4. our breakers suck forced to use molex now...still idling 35 c...should of just gotten a 4690 k.
>>
>>55942562
Worst part is you hyped yourself for the new rig.
It totally sucks if you gotta RMA a part and have to wait a week at least.

Turns out the mobo requires the power supply be on for 60seconds before it will power up.

>nothing happens
Turned out I need to hit the mobo switch within milliseconds of turning the psu on.

I did this yesterday.

Mobo has three usb sockets, two are blue and one is white.
I need all three and plugged something into the white one, it had all the right pins and fit well.
Then it wouldn't post until I took it out, I don't think it's a usb socket.
>>
>put together some pc parts

Double check connections.
When shit doesn't turn on it is actively preventing itself from turning on to protect itself.
Not turning on is okay.

Turning on and then not posting is when you worry
