Is it just a meme?
Are we really that close to creating silicon Gods?

if it means you are gonna be single for the next 50 years, then yes
Blacks are strong
Asians are smart
Whites have no notable qualities
What happens when the singularity recommends to wipe out whites?
>>55933093
>no notable qualities
We created the AI..?
>>55933093
>Blacks are strong
>Asians are smart
Both conquered by whites and use western tech.
>>55933093
Machines will become both strong and smart. The singularity won't need us anymore. They will wipe out all humans.

"The AI does not hate you, nor does it love you, but you are made out of atoms which it can use for something else".
>>55933028
I'd say sooner. Maybe 40.
>>55933217
You're fucking retarded.
>tfw no robot waifu
It's probably going to happen way sooner than anyone expects.
Remember that long timeline which predicted things that were going to be invented?
Many of the things that were supposed to be happening 20 years in the future, were already achieved 2-4 years after creating that damn graph.
In a way, humanity progresses a lot faster than it expects.
What's really interests me is that how is our progress is going to change when we move onto a new CPU tech.
After all what we currently have is practically hitting the limits of what can be done with it and a replacement has to arrive during the next 5-10 years, otherwise the companies are fucked.
If we get a radically faster CPU arcitechture, like photonic or such, will that also kick out progress into overdrive or will we just continue business as usual.
That's what fascinates me the most regarding the future.

Wipe out whites?
Lol, the A.I doesn't even consider nigs to be people.
It might put them into zoos or something.
>>55933028
>within 50 years
No. The hardware and power consumption necessary are exponentially more demanding than what even research programs are predicting will be available in the next couple of decades.
>is it just a meme
Yes. Millenials for some reason have latched onto science fiction tropes and are determined to pretend these things will exist in their lifetimes. Failing this, they are determined to extend their lives by drinking young blood or some such shamanism (yes, it's a thing; look it up).
These same self-styled creative titans cannot even make complete software, let alone a sane artificial intelligence.
>Tesla
$70K golf carts. The company isn't profitable even with socialists directly subsidizing each purchase.
>it's autonomous driving feature
Fooled by a white semi trailer (wow, what an uncommon color for semi trailers). When an iPhone camera is overexposed, it takes poor photos. Tesla's golf carts run into the bright object instead. Yeah, they're just a stone's throw away from AI.
>Google autonomous car
A bumper car on a closed course. The gajillion miles driven that they advertise? All done on a specific small area surrounding Google's HQ. The "technology" requires far more precise and updated mapping than is feasible to perform on even the scale of a single state. Watch the cute little car drive around its little track! How cute!
Jobs, Tesla, those two Google search algorithm cum marketing experts: they're all pic related.
