What's a good value mouse/kb combo that is good for gaming and also in general? I type a lot but also play Overwatch occasionally.

Is the CM Storm the best option or just a meme?

honestly? it depends on preference. any brand that you recognize from reading its name is respectable enough to have quality products.

Logitech is reliable, but a little bit too "casual/entry-level"

Razer is aesthetically incredible, but is worth much less than their price tag suggests

CM is good, but they're a little bit behind-the-curve imo in terms of a lot of features.

You've got Steelseries, very trustworthy but less aesthetically pleasing

Corsair products scream "quality" but have been known to be less durable than they appear (+ trampstamp)

There are TONS of others to consider but this is getting too long anyway. I'll just throw out Zowie and HyperX for making great mice/headphones.

Honestly, it's your preference. Maybe check mechanicalkeyboards dot com to look for some good keyboards and then hit up Zowie's website for a literal professional-tier mouse/keyboard combo.

Not important, but I use a Ducky Shine YOTG + Zowie FK1+ for my setup.

don't buy a combo
buy a zowie mouse and research switches and buy the nicest mechanical you can afford with those switches

if you just want cheap with decent switches the cm storm quickfire is probably the cheapest thing that's acceptable, ducky is good midrange and leopold is good high end

G100s.
Blackwidow + DA 2013 is also a good combo, tho overpriced.

I have a (blue) CM Storm Devastator combo.

The keyboard has better rollover than a Logitech K120 and is backlit for muh late night stuff.

The mouse is alright. There isn't much technical information on it, so I doubt nor care if it has a "flawless" sensor. It's pretty basic. It doesn't have horizontal scrolling.

There is a new version of the combo. It's the same price so you should check it out.

Dont buy a memechanical keyboard
Yes they are alright but the keyboard light is flashy and if you turn it off you can't see shit
