Apparently they're doubling down on the all wireless/bluetooth thing. I believe they're also looking into the internal battery doing wireless charging without the 3rd party parts? Still really stupid thing to do when you own one of the biggest names in headphones (Beats) and the majority of them are wired 3.5mm connected only. I prefer AUX over bluetooth in the car for battery, sound/signal purposes anyways so this is a big no no for me. I can't say I've ever used a bluetooth audio product that didn't cut out randomly at times.

I switched to a Galaxy S7 and while I'm not too big on the battery life, I can't see myself switching back to apple/iOS.

My money is on battery life. They are focusing battery life on rather than performance on the A10. And both the 7 and 7+ will have larger batteries compared to the 6 and 6+.

Okay I'll bite on why I'm thinking of switching to this new iPhone from my 4 year old rooted Nexus 4.

a) I've heard the new iPhone will ship with the adapter as well as a pair of lightning headphones so I don't really see a problem there. I don't know much about lightning but maybe there is some sort of advantage to using it compared to 3.5mm analog?

b) Even if there isn't a trade-off in audio quality or battery life, I use my phone for casual listening when I'm not home, and my computer with my high-quality headphones I wouldn't want to be seen in public with anyway.

c) I'm a graphic designer with a Macbook. I'm interested in the connectivity between the two. Yes, I know all the customization and muh gaming you can do on Windows/Linux but I'm not interested in that. I've already done it all. Whether I like it or not, Apple the standard in my field.

d) I've experienced everything Android has to offer. Anything I do on my phone aside from calling or texting works the same on either platform. I've got the money, I want to try out the normie status symbol option.
