Why remove the array from the card config? At least on Highpoint cards the array config is stored on the disks. I'm not motivated enough to pull a disk from the array on my Areca card. And i've lost a RAID 0 array after a BIOS update with the Intel chipset RAID on my SuperMicro X9DAE, so on those I guess they're stored on the "card".
