Hi /g/. I'm interested studying for a CS or CE degree, but I am very new to this side of technology. Can you guys help me out by telling me:
>Your current major
>What you like/dislike about the classes/courses
>What you knew before you started (languages, using linux, etc)
>Any advice
Any other warnings or helpful tips would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

If you actually want to learn things, then major in CpE/EE
If you just want to waste 4 years in manchild daycare, then major in CS.
Also, those who have already graduated/dropped out can feel free to give their 2 cents as well.
These threads make me so fucking anxious about my life, I feel forced to ask every time I see one
Opinions on Informatic Systems Engineering?

After reading up on it, Computer Engineering does seem like a good all-encompassing major to learn stuff from CS and EE.
What would be recommended to know before actually going into it?

Apostol Calculus

Precalculus. AP Calculus would be helpful to get a head start and take some latter classes early.

>going to uni
what are you fucking gay? you do know you have access to the fucking internet with millions of resources? instead of that you will go and listen to some old fart that never really programmed in his life tell you what programming is? As someone who went through CE you won't know shit about programming, and I know people who went through CS that know even less programming than I knew after getting my degree. Programming is a meme at any university really. You literally don't learn anything, trust me. If you are interested in programming just fucking torrent some paid udemy courses or books or whatever and start coding. Also, if your ambition is to get a degree and be a code monkey, you might as well buy a gun and a bullet.
