Fed up of using and wasting time fixing inane shit in meme "do it yourself" os. When did you realize time is precious and use a distro that just werks?
t. mac user
when i installed arch and everything just werked
years ago
and it's never broken

What kernel do you use? The LTS?
>>55896855
default

>Install Arch
>Install KDE
>Sane defaults are on by default
What's the problem?
But Arch does "just werk" once you set it up. Well I'm using Manjaro actually but the principle is the same. The only distro that allowed me to do so actually, Gentoo is a no-no because I like my binary packages.

I hesrd Antergos is closer to Arch vanilla install than Manjaro.
>>55896893
It surely is. But I like mhwd-kernel too much to switch. Manjaro unstable is basically Arch two days later anyway.
>>55896875
I put Mate on and not even a template panel and no right click on desktop. Had to modify a lot of dconf settings just to get things working.
>>55896909
Manjaro delays critical security updates. I don't understand why anyone would settle for that.

Who the heck gave you that idea?
>>55897074
By 2 days at the worst if you're on unstable, and that's assuming that they really don't give any extra priority to security updates.
Do you think you're such a critical target that somebody would waste their precious zero-day on your autismo station within those 2 days?

i dont know about you op but ever since arch switched to systemd ive been on the same installation without ever anything breaking apart from a theme breaking which wasnt even archs fault.
im not even on the lts kernel. bleeding edge all the way.
and i used to dislike systemd a lot. now its become very useful, for me, anyways.

Right after work broke again.
