Any freelance graphic/web designers hang around /g/? Do you guys make a pretty good living? What about in-house graphic designers, how do you guys fair?
I know this is more of a /gd/ question but that board is sadly dead as fuck. I figure designers probably hang around /g/ since none of them are on /gd/.

How much do you charge for a website? Do you just not get clients, or?

Base rate is $75 an hour. Flat rate for things like setting up webhosting, doing WordPress install and config. Basically, not enough clients yet. Started doing my own thing a year ago and it's been slow to build. I work full time elsewhere while doing my business in my freetime.

Is your full time job at least in web design? I heard doing freelance is like 50% learning how to hoe yourself out.

I did 7 years in marketing before starting my own thing. And yeah, I'm a solid designer and digital marketing. Not so great at hoeing myself out.
