My mother just let her iPhone 5 fall into the toilet and it was immediately over for the phone. Now I have her an old Samsung galaxy sII but she doesn't really like android or Windows devices (she has a surface tablet but still prefers her old iPad)
If it is too expensive to let it get repaired then she obviously needs a new one.
The thing is I've seen Apple iPhone 5c's for €100 on aliexpress aka straight out China. I mostly see positive reviews and if it is bad you can trade it in. But are like the processors and other parts in the phone real parts or other parts that make it slower and have a worse battery than a real iPhone 5c. Anyone got some experience? I got a HTC one m8 which fell like 4 times into the water and was always working but her iPhone fell once and now it already got broken.

We pay taxes. It is called insurance and I don't known if my mother pays a special insurance for her Phone. If her phone gets stolen for example or someone else lets it get destroyed she will get a new one but if you do it yourself not sure. And she doesn't like to lie.
