I'm currently cleaning out a house infested with roaches.
They get everywhere no matter what you do. The only way to keep them out is to surround your PC with boric acid or spray professional grade roach spray to create somewhat of a barrier. Even that may not work

I'm in the UK so I'm glad this isn't an issue here...

Now what we do get is a shit ton of non-harmful spiders crawling all over the place

mix one part borax with one part sugar with butter, margarine or a similar substance to create a paste

put the paste on a plastic lid or cutout bottle so it's easily accessible by roaches, add a bit of water around it, place it underneath a desk or drawer, places that pets/kids can't get into but cockroaches can

roaches mainly seek water over food, but the butter smell will also lure them in, and they will eat the paste because of the sugar

after some time, the borax in the paste will kill them, it won't be instantly as you won't see them dead next to the paste, but after a few days you will begging to see less of them, and only a few smaller ones

after some weeks or months if they behind to appear again, discard the old paste and make a new one
