What do YOU use?

Not op, but hes talking about freedom so probably a linux distro
>>
>thinking using a Linux distro makes you free
>not realizing that many distros include non-free botnet software, and most online services are non-free
Granted, Linux is far better than Windows, and it's definitely a good start, but in any case, achieving freedom in computing requires more than just installing Gentoo.

I live in California, so I use BSD.

I drink local craft beer, so why not use a local kernel?

With how much my privacy/freedom gets raped in the real world, the last thing I'm worried about is what I do on my computer being stored in a database somewhere for no one to ever actually look at.

I just removed the ads from my start menu (really they're just shit trying to get you to use microsoft related stores, and use popular things as examples to lead you there) and went about my day. The weather and news pins are kinda cool though so I kept them, but ya, you can literally just right click and remove that shit

wow that's fucking stupid

Windows is the better console based OS so there's that

It's pretty easy actually, even Debian is 100% free by default
>>
Not going to lie, I'm pretty pissed off about the whole lockscreen thing.

>Years ago, if you wanted to install Linux on a machine you had to make sure you hand-picked each piece of hardware or your installation would not work 100 percent...This is not so much the case now.

It seems the case now.

The other two I really don't care about
But even though I do use the lockscreen, I believe it was a bad decision to remove it

Windows tips remains an option in the settings though, unsure why everyone kicking a fuss about the policy for it
