Switch to glorious GNU/Linux.

Backup all your files, pick a distro (you can dual boot at first if you like), install, then delete Windows once you're fairly comfortable with it.

GNU and Windows use the same hardware retard. Open source vs Closed is the stuff the hardware runs on. A better analogy would be custom fuel made in a lab vs a standardized mix you get at a local filling station.
