Actually there is a testing build out.
The problem is that it defaults to local locations when connected to a remote server which is a no-no.

Just do it like everyone else.
Get a separate machine for NAS running Linux.
Install transmission Daemon there.
And just use the transmission-remote client like anyone that doesn't want an aneurysm.

I've tried the non-official portableapps.com build for Windows and I gotta say it's quite good. Very low on resources. But also very basic and limited so...

What I hate is that even if you only select 150 MB from a 11 GB pack, it will download 300 MB for no reason. uTorrent manages it much better with the DAT file it puts in the folder for the chunks of other files.

I just use qBittorrent.
Works for me.
