peda for preventing suicide in gdb
angr for symbolic
qira for dynamic
ida for static (binaryninja and hopper have some distinct features, but most of the time ida is the go-to)

This is the coolest field, but it's so esoteric and hard to get into. You pretty much have to self-teach and get lucky with your first job.
