Threaten to go public with it, report them to the BBB, etc.
In Europe they're requires by law to fully refund you the value of the card from when you bought it, after one month of RMA.

Anything like that for us burgers?

Not that I know of, enjoy being raped by tech companies.
And I only told you half the truth. If one month passes, they're obliged to give you either the money, or a similar item of the same value (it's the customers' choice).
It's nice, because sometimes you've had for example a graphics card for a year and a half or so, and then RMA it and you might end up with a free upgrade.

I tried bitching about it on Reddit and despite the thread being popular no rep ever cared about it.

You report them to the BBB and the BBB acts on your behalf by fucking up their rating and asking for a resolution.

Those companies run the U.S., what do you expect.
