Why the FUCK aren't we seeing more projector phones or adapters that turn phones into projectors more?

Is projector technology still that shit? I want to be able to project my porn and chinese cartoons on a wall so I don't have to fucking hold my phone like some kind of savage.

>>
Wouldn't that drain the battery ridiculously fast?
>>
You can't make a decent projector small enough to fit in a phone chassis. The optics alone are going to be at lest 10 times the size of a phone. So you can stick a cheap shitty projector in your phone and get raped by reviewers because it's shit or just not bother and let people who make already shit phones do it, knowing that it's not going to bring the rest of the package down.
>>
Considering the power drain and dedicated wall space needed to really get the most out of a projector, why not buy a full sized projector instead?

It's not like you'll by overwhelmed with times when you're in a dark room for an extended period of time with a blank wall and an available outlet while 'on the go'

Not really, it would depend on the projector tech being used. Though even the 5,000 mAh battery on the ZTE Spro only provided about 1.5 hours of video playback.
>>
>>55799638
>Not really
bullshit
>>
Cheap projector + chromecast or android box is probably a more practical and economical option.

What I do myself is connect the projector to a laptop, then just control my laptop with my phone using universal remote. No real applications outside of the house, and even if there were, they have pico/pocket projectors you could take.

It would be convenient as fuck though. No telling how long before phone projector tech becomes not shit though.
>>
>>55799652
Not all projectors are created equal and tech for it varies in power consumption, clarity, ect.

Some manufacture out there must be working on a better phone projector right now I bet.

Dedicated pocket projectors are still horrendous shit and you're already getting petulant over integrated phone projectors?

Hate to break it to you anon but this isn't a market that anyone gives enough of a shit about to un-shittify.
>>
>>55799665

Yes, if we lived in the future where you can project a visible image at noon on a multicolored brick wall with your solar powered phone, with the end result being OLED quality it would be convenient as fuck.

>No telling how long before phone projector tech becomes not shit though.
Forever, you are asking to change the laws of optics.
>>
>>55799742
Won't all that be built into your contact lens by then anyway?
>>
>>55799755
>Forever, you are asking to change the laws of optics.
How can you be so sure? There has to be some way to be able to display non-shit projections from a phone. Maybe lasers?
>>
>>55799798
This lmao, phone projectors are already DOA in the future most likely.
>>
>>55799802
Laser projection is a long ways off from being good, and laser projection that will fit in your pocket is even further.

Here's a blog from some asshole who designs projector parts if you want to learn more:

Whatever happened to projected keyboard? That doesn't need an amazing projector.
>>
>>55800135
Even shittier than an on-screen keyboard.
>small keys
>not even capable of haptic feedback
>always in the need of some flat, stable surface
>>
>>55800191
It looked cool as fuck though...
>>
>>55800232
You can get Chinese clones of it if you really want.
They're every bit as shit as the original.
